Home-School Agreement
As part of our offer to you and your child, we have created a home-school agreement that we ask children, families and school to agree to. Please read the agreement carefully so you understand what is expected at Yearsley Grove Primary School.
Parents / Carers
We/I will:
- Encourage my child to follow the school rules.
- Help my child be on time for school and ready to learn.
- Contact the school immediately about any problems or concerns.
- Encourage my child to have the best attendance and inform school as soon as possible of any absences.
- Read with my child at least three times each week.
- Use positive praise and rewards when my child achieves goals.
- Support my child to complete homework and bring it in on time.
- Support my child to use the internet and technology safely.
- Build positive relationships with school.
- Follow the school’s values of RESPECTFUL.
School
We will:
- Set rules and rewards for all children.
- Make sure school is a safe and happy place to be.
- Contact parents and carers if we have any concerns about their child.
- Listen to the children’s ideas, interests and problems.
- Have high expectations of all children’s progress, learning and behaviour.
- Make sure parents are regularly updated on their child’s progress.
- Make learning fun in all subjects which is supported by regular homework.
- Ensure all children use the internet and technology safely.
- Build positive relationships with families.
- Follow the school’s values of RESPECTFUL.
Pupils
I will:
- Follow the rules at home and at school
- Arrive on time, ready to learn.
- Speak to an adult if I have any problems.
- Aim high to achieve the challenges I am set.
- Be respectful to others and care for the environment around me.
- Make sure I am ready for the day ahead.
- Make sure I complete my homework each week.
- Use the internet and technology safely.
- Follow the school’s values of RESPECTFUL.
